Sequim
Sequim (pronounced “skwim”) is surrounded by natural beauty and full of small town charm. Averaging approximately 17 inches of rainfall and plenty of sunshine each year, Sequim is one of the driest places in Western Washington. Easy access to world-class hiking, kayaking, golfing, biking and birding locations make it the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
True to its agricultural heritage, organic farms are abundant in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley; visit one of our local berry farms or local farm stores – there is always something in season throughout the summer and fall. Sequim is recognized as the Lavender Capital of North America® for the fragrant, purple herb that grows on farms throughout the valley.
For those who like to shop, Sequim is the regional retail center of the Olympic Peninsula. Its charming downtown is a shopping haven with unique boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. Visit the Sequim Farmers Market each Saturday from mid-May through October, and don’t miss the monthly First Friday Artwalk.
Just two hours from Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia, any time of year is a good time to visit Sequim. Visit our website and find out more about planning your trip to Sequim.
