Kettle Falls

Kettle Falls, northwest of Colville, has long been an important site to the Native Americans, who traveled to the falls to fish for salmon. Although the falls were inundated by the filling of Lake Roosevelt behind Grand Coulee Dam, visitors are still attracted to the area for many year-round outdoor activities available on the lake and in the surrounding forest. The nearby city of Kettle Falls has a unique community spirit. Each year they vote for the town "Grouch," and each vote costs a quarter. The money raised goes to community improvements.
