Join other fans in the epicenter of the Washington’s sporting world, just south of downtown Seattle. There you’ll find Safeco Field, home to baseball’s Mariners, and CenturyLink Field, top turf to football’s Seahawks and soccer’s Sounders FC.
Score seats to see home-team stars Russell Wilson and Clint Dempsey in person, or head to one of the area’s bars to soak in the scene. The Hawks Nest and Sluggers Seattle are two spots that always seem to attract lively crowds. Don’t throw in the towel, though, if you’re visiting during the off-season: Safeco and CenturyLink both offer behind-the-scenes tours for a glimpse of everything from the dugout to the press box year-round.
For more spectating, head to the Seattle Center. Inside KeyArena the Storm’s leading ladies sink three-pointers from May through September. At nearby Memorial Stadium, Reign FC dominates the women’s soccer league April through September.
Prefer your action on ice? Skate over to Kent, 10 miles southeast of Sea-Tac Airport, where the Seattle Thunderbirds face off during Western Hockey League games at ShoWare Center. Or join the fan base of the Thunderbirds’ in-state rivals, the Everett Silvertips, who take to the rink at Everett’s XFINITY Arena, about 30 miles north of Seattle. Either way, it’s always game on in Puget Sound.
