Beach Fun on Jetty Island

Accessible only by boat from Everett's waterfront, tiny Jetty Island possesses more than 2 miles of sandy beaches and warm waters.

Whether you're  into birding, kiteboarding or lounging in the sand, Jetty Island is the perfect destination for summertime beach fun. The hidden gem can reached by a free, 10-minute public ferry ride from Everett's waterfront from early July through Labor Day.

Things to do on Jetty Island

Birding: Jetty Island hosts 45 bird species, highlighted by nesting pairs of Caspian tern and Glaucous-winged gull. Others include pigeon guillemot; greater and lesser yellowlegs; black–bellied and semipalmated plover; short–billed dowitcher; killdeer; and least, spotted, and Western sandpiper.The best birding locations are on the island's west side and within the middle tidal lagoon.

Getting to Jetty Island

From I-5 Northbound, take exit 195 (Marine View Dr/Port of Everett). Turn left (west) onto E. Marine View Dr. Drive 3.3 miles, then turn right (west) onto 10th St. Drive 0.4 mile to end of parking lot; the ferry leaves from the kiosk in Marine Park.
